Prof. Barenholz (Daniel G. Miller Professor in Cancer Research) is co-inventor of the first FDA approved nano-drug (DOXILTM). This nano liposomal drug is extensively used to treat ovarian cancer and breast cancer and generates annual revenues >$0.5B. He is co-founder of vaccines' developing company NasVax Ltd. now in clinical trials of influenza vaccine which is based on VaxiSomeTM, the Barenholz invented polycationic sphingolipid adjuvant. Prof. Barenholz has received a number of prizes including the Alec D. Bangham Award (1998). He is co-inventor of more than 70 issued or pending US patents and a pioneer in the development of nanomedicine.
