Professor Thomas Bjørnholm is initiator and director of the Copenhagen University Nano-Science Center comprising several hundred scientists and students efforts in research, education and technology transfer at the University.

Thomas Bjørnholm is member of the Royal Danish Academy of Science and Letters, The Danish Academy of Technical Sciences, The Danish Natural Science Research Council (2005 - 2009). Main research areas include molecular electronics and bionanotechnology. Thomas Bjørnholm has published more that 150 publications and received a number of research prizes.
